Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

TFS Fumigation (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our fumigation and pest management services. This may include:

  • Your name, business name and job title;
  • Contact details such as phone number, email address and site or postal address;
  • Details of the goods, cargo, vessel or premises to be treated;
  • Quote requests, booking details, service history and correspondence with us;
  • Payment and billing information; and
  • Any other information you choose to provide when you contact us.

How we collect it

We generally collect personal information directly from you — for example, when you submit our quote or contact form, call or email us, or engage us to carry out work. In some cases we may collect information from third parties such as freight forwarders, shipping agents, brokers or your representatives where it is necessary to deliver a service you have requested.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide quotes;
  • Schedule, carry out and certify fumigation and pest management work;
  • Meet our biosecurity, compliance and record-keeping obligations;
  • Invoice you and process payments;
  • Communicate with you about your job and, where relevant, related services; and
  • Improve our services and website.

Disclosure of your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to trusted third parties only where necessary, including our staff and contractors, overseas fumigation and gas-free certification partners, regulatory and biosecurity authorities (such as the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry), and service providers that support our business (for example IT, payment and form-processing providers). Where information is handled by an overseas provider, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this policy.

Our website and online forms

Enquiries submitted through our website forms are processed by a third-party form-delivery provider and emailed to us. Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help it function and to understand how visitors use it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
